Q: why we build our websites?
A: to show it world widely. and to make some money, blog, fun, friendship, …
Q: why we get a hosting company?
A: we can’t be online all 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days an year. because of
our A/C power, net connection speed, PC hardware, sleep, food, travel, …
So, we buy an hosting package. We hope that hosting companies do a business with shifting employees, high quality hardware and automated processes. and we hope they will work for us to keep our sites online.
Here, let us explain a technical term with simple words: “Keeping our sites online” help to our sites “to alive online”. That is called as “Uptime”.
I think uptime is a main minus point on many popular hosting services. If our site down for an hour, we may lose our sites good name, lots of users and ad revenue. (I experienced it).
So, uptime is a main concern on hosting. each and every newbies must know who maintain a highest (possible) uptime?
If an hosting service maintain a highest possible uptime on their customers’ server, we can say “their hardware, software, network, power, technical support and employees all are great!”. A Server’s Uptime revealed everything of its hosting service status.
Uptime is a great ruler scale to measure a hosting service.
Here, I mention another important thing, that some hosting companies run their homepage (website contents) on a highest quality server to show its uptime. So, we want to know where are customers’ website contents?
some review sites put a hosting service on top while others down it on bottom.
some reviewers said about a support team “worst” while others said “its user friendly!”.
some graphs shows us green about a hosting service’s technical/uptime details while other few shows red!
which can we trust? how many sites we read and how many days we spend on analyzing?
Which hosting company maintain highest uptime specially on shared hosting? We want to learn and share from our own experience.
I’ve listed some hosting companies with helps of one and half dozen review sites, the hosting companies’ uptime details and their live/email support assistance.
[Please note: I aim to share our experience with each other. and making a good guidance to all. So, feel free to talk which is best within your experience. and share your thoughts and any info related with this topic.]
