Placing your credentials on websites you work on

Hi

I have just started placing a link on sites that I create on the footer of the websites … example “Developed by Company Name”.

I don’t always design the site, I also purchase templates and modify them. I don’t want to give the wrong impression and say I designed it, but is saying Developed by “_______” okay? Some templates I purchase say you can’t say Designed By.

Any ideas?

How about Modified by or Customized by? Will that be suitable?

Thanks for the info. I think thats a good idea. Also, its not saying I designed it but the website is still created by me.

If you say Website By Company Name (and it links back to your site) that puts “Website” in the anchor text of the link - which can also be a bonus for SE Rankings.
