Pitching to a panel of investors?

Hi guys,

I’m pitching my startup to a panel of investors next Tuesday. I only found out last night I have made it through to the final round and need to get moving on the presentation.

I have a PowerPoint ready, however I wanted to blow them away and stand out from the crowd. There will be 16 others pitching at the event.

It’s a 5 minute presentation
We must address the criteria of ‘how, why, etc’.
Our startup is a smartphone app
The startup assists stores and consumers

Should the team do a video addressing the criteria or just discuss it? (bear in mind there’s not much time to prepare)
Any creative ideas?
Does anyone have some interesting videos or other media of creative and memorable pitches we could use for inspiration?

Thank you in advance!

its gonna he hard for you make a video in such short time.
how about doing a print out.

There’s a book called NeuroMarketing that gives a great story on a presentation that engaged a bored audience right out of the gate.

An enterprise security software was being pitched and the presenter faked that his computer was malfunctioning and could not work his Powerpoint. Obviously, the “embarrassment” caused the audience to watch the disaster unfold. The presenter then hit a button and claimed this is what could happen with an inferior software, but not theirs. Hook, line, sinker.

Takes a bit of good acting, but making the problem very real and then explaining your solution tends to hit home more.
