Pic not showing in IE 8

any idea why on this page (http://www.goldcoastchamber.com), the pic right below the “Upcoming Featured Event” heading does not show up in IE 8? Instead there’s just a box with a red X through it. But it does show in Chrome or Firefox.

please advise. thanks in advance!
