PHP template, security issue

Hey ho let’s go…

Okay one one php script, main.php, that uses “include” to accress an html form with action=“main.php”. All’s good thus far, the php script loads the html form, I can fill in the form fields and hit submit. From here I have some majority issues.

Sorry not at the PC this is being developed on but am getting a permission denied style error after submission of the form. Initially I thought this might be due to my inclusion at the top of the script of a file that has my database connections, so changed “include” to “include_once” and still have the same issue.

Newbie over here so any demonstration of how to include a form etc greatfully received.

Copy and paste the exact error please.

It might be that you don’t have permissions to the main.php script. The script for form processing must also be in a web accessible directory.

Once again not at the PC causing me issues, but a little cut down code

<html>
<head></head>
<body>
<form name="input" action="test.php" method="post">
Username:
<input type="text" name="user" />
<input type="submit" value="Submit" />
</form>
</body>

<?php

if(isset($_POST["user"]))
{
	die("ok user = ".$_POST['user']);
} else {
	include "test.html";
}
?>

This is working so I think I may have problems with how I’m address the MySQL database (: Might, when I get onto the PC, comment out some code and see if I can’t narrow it down further.

What is the exact error message you’re getting?
