PHP> Pear on Wins 7

Hi,

Does anyone here had successfully installed Pear in their Win7? If not for the fact that I need to install PHPDoc, I wouldn’t need to install Pear. :frowning:

For now I have trouble installing Pear with the following error. Would appreciate if anyone could point me to the right direction.

C:\\Program Files (x86)\\PHP\\ext>go-pear.bat
PHP Warning: Cannot load module 'exif' because required module 'mbstring' is not loaded in Unknown on line 0

Warning: Cannot load module 'exif' because required module 'mbstring' is not loaded in Unknown on line 0
Press any key to continue . . .

I have checked my exif and mbstring extentions and both are already enabled in PHP.ini. I tried googling but can’t seems to find any fix for it.:injured:

I think that if you use PHP on the command line, it uses a different php.ini file.

Try:
php -i

It will do phpinfo() in your cmd console. Then you should be able to see if mbstring is loaded or not.

Move the mbstring extension load above exif.

Hi thanks for all your help guys. Problem solved.

Apparently when I run my php using apache localhost, it is using the PHP.ini file located in my Windows folder. I am not aware that running “go-pear.bat” actually runs the PHP.ini located in my C:\PHP folder instead. I changed the settings and added the mbstring to it solved it.
