Php auto login without cookies

Hello forums
I know this must be a stupid question but I’ll give it a shot anyway.

Is it possible to do a a php auto login script (remember me) without using cookies? If so… any tips?

Simply put, I don’t think this is possible.

Yes, it is possible. You can use databases and some Unique Identifying information. You could use a combination of IP address and the browser user agent to identify someone, store this information in your users database table and check for it when they return to your site - logging them into an account if you find one that matches both pieces of information.
The problem that arises with this method is that separate users on the same computer (despite having separate user profiles on that machine) would be automatically logged in to the same account when visiting your site if they share the web browser.

Gee tnx not a very fabulous solution though… Ill just go back to cookies then
