We have a local newspaper and lauched a website related to worldcup…

so can we post photos and translated news from AP and reuters in our site

what are its provisions…

Yes i did checked and they say we are allowed to use the photos (we pay them monthly) but they say we need to write source clearly

Using any image from any source without express consent (whether that’s through membership, payment, license or consent) is copyright theft plain and simple.

You should check with the agency as to whether you’re allowed to use them (I agree). :slight_smile:

If you’re not a member of the associated press (AP) and don’t have their permission (getting AP licensed is VERY expensive) you can’t do it.

Having a newspaper doesn’t give you the right to use other peoples content, using AP content unlicensed (and unpaid for) would be criminal. :slight_smile:

whats about reuters?

we are member of national news agency of our country which does provide photos of AP and reuters…i think we should check with them first…
