Yea there’s the traditional flipper, buying/selling web sites, but just like in real estate there comes that time where we want passive or residual income. We can’t charge rent because we don’t have any tenants so which methods do you use to make money.
To me building a web site for a client then selling it to them is a one time deal. You can only build but so many web sites in your life time. How can you build a salary for yourself?

I like that idea but I’ve seen some beautiful templates out there for little to free of charge. It sounds like something I’ll do while I don’t think it’ll be enough to make a decent annual salary. It will still be a nice add on and any income is good income.

Maintenance plans more or less. I don’t own my own server; I do the setup and installation of the site free of charge and I use bluehost.
Why not offer your services as a consultant to other webmasters who may not have your experience or expertise? If you’re interested in pursuing that avenue, Dr. Jeffrey Lant has an excellent book on the subject titled " How To Make At Least $100,000 A Year As A Successful Consultant In Your Own Field."

What does looking out for schemes that will earn people high profits have to do with the topic of discussing earning residual income. I probably won’t word it schemes when directing business opportunity advice to join. It could end up confusing some or more people. It can cause any like minded people to jump to conclusions to label Residual Income is only earn through MLM businesses. How ever Network marketing Businesses likes using the term quite regularly. Although widely used and tend to be abused often. Earning residuals come in many forms.
Rent from property ownership or dividend and interest income from owning Stocks, CD’s, etc etc. Are just a few considered with out mentioning MLM or Affiliate earnings. Affiliate programs are real impressionable. Choosing the right one will make the most difference. Amazon offers 15% pay out to its affiliates while other competing companies may offer 2 or 5 percent. You have to weigh the high earning rate verses the amount of sales from competing companies.
