Parsed PHP File and Error Code

First off how come my PHP files are not be displayed as HTML when I parsed the HTACCESS file as such:

RemoveHandler .html .htm
AddType application/x-httpd-php .php .htm .html

And how do I fix this error caused by PHP on this page.

The PHP “Warning: session_start() [function.session-start]” error means that you sent output to the browser before you executed the session_start() function.

session_start() needs to be called before anything is sent to the browser.

As for your htacess code, are you trying to hide the php file extension and use htm instead?

How do I do that, I don’t know PHP ?

Yes :slight_smile:

For the session_start() problem move the session_start(); to the beginning of the file so that it’s the first live after the <?php

EDIT: For the hiding of the php extension this should work (found via a google search):

Options +FollowSymlinks
RewriteEngine on
RewriteRule ^(.*)\\.htm$ $1.php [nc]

I had to remove completely.

if (session_id() == ‘’) session_start();

SpacePhoenix that script didn’t solve it :frowning:

How do you stylize this form?

Space - The code you gave me for parsing PHP to HTM causes the server not to load HTM pages can this be fixed?
