Pages changing charset encoding on their own! cPanel

This is an answer for the forum that is already closed: Pages changing charset encoding on their own!

If you add this comment it will detect some words in Spanish and will let the chartset be utf-8

 <!-- éstas son unas palabras en español con acentos, árbol, gonzález y más -->

I add the comment below the meta tag

<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8">

but apparently, it does not matter where in the page it is.

Are you referring to a thread in this forum? If so, it would be helpful if you could link to it, or maybe explain what you would like to discuss in this thread.

I’ve added the link into the first post.

@alfmonc: welcome to the forums. We do appreciate your contribution, but that discussion took place nearly two years ago, and will have been long-since forgotten by most members. We close old threads for good reason, because things move on quite rapidly in this industry and it’s usually better to start a new discussion than revive an old one.

If you do have something significant to add to an old topic, the best option is to use the “Reply as new topic” link from the relevant post, or use the keyboard shortcuts: j/k to select the post and t to open the new topic. This ensures both topics are correctly linked.
