Onload - Open Full Screen

Hi,

I am currently working on a CD-ROM. I originally created it in Director but I am rebuilding it using normal HTML.

I am using the AUTORUN feature to start up the CD-ROM automatically.

I am using the following code (default.htm) to open the page popup.htm in a new window, displaying in full screen of a user’s monitor.

                        • HEAD OF DOCUMENT ------

<SCRIPT LANGUAGE=“JavaScript”>
function fullScreen(theURL) {
window.open(theURL, ‘’, ‘fullscreen=yes, scrollbars=auto’);
}

                        • BODY OF DOCUMENT ------

<body onload=“fullScreen(popup.htm’);”>

…However, this piece of code opens “popup.htm” in a new window, leaving 2 windows open.

Is it possible for “popup.htm” to open in full screen from the AUTORUN, avoiding opening 2 individual windows. If so, please could someone provide the code, it would be greatly appreciated.

Did you found a solution, I am working on the same problem.

Is possible to open a fulll screen window without opening 2 window…
sorry for my broken english… i try to learn …

<html>
<head>

</head>

<body onLoad=“window.open(‘test.html’, ‘’, ‘fullscreen=yes, scrollbars=auto’); window.opener=null; window.close(); return false;”>

</body>

</html>

Try resizing the original window instead. Something like this:

<script type="text/javascript">
window.onload = function() {
	window.moveTo(0, 0);
	window.resizeTo(screen.availWidth, screen.availHeight);
}
</script>

Or even better: Try to avoid manipulating the browser. It´s software installed by the user and if the user wants to navigate in 1024x600 on a screen resolution set to 1280x960 IT IS HERS/HIS right to do so. No one manipulates your MS Word when you writing that letter so what gives you the right to screw with the user´s browser? Leave it be.

Did you ever get a response? I am also trying to create a cd which automatically opens a webpage.
