Online Web Content Writer Resources

I frequently use Oxford Collocations Dictionary

Thanks for the share Shyflower! I generally get my inspiration from my own experience combined with what I read on forums.
Forums are a great source of potential inspiration, at least in my main niche which is pets, everything from aquarium fish to dogs and cats.
I’ve foud that every time I was lacking inspiration, visiting a related forum would do the trick.

I try to write more urban and so i prefer using Urban Dictionary, funny though that at first seemed only games and fun to use Urban Dictionary, but now it seems cool

For grammar checker I use:

For word reference
http://translate.google.com/
http://dictionary.reference.com/

I also write poems so I use this site for rhyming words
http://www.rhymer.com/index.html

Thanks for these useful links
When I want to find synonymous, I just use… a Book.
I also find informations for my post on PRWeb, a press realease website.
To complete my knowledge, I use Wikipedia and Britannica.
And to perfekt my writing style: relevantrhetoric and google-translate (yes, I am not a native speaker :frowning: ).

You might want to try thesaurus.com. It will save you a lot of time as it is much quicker than paging through a book.

Good idea. That is actually one of the purposes of press release sites. The web would be a much better place if bloggers harvested press release information instead of copy/pasting other blogs. Also consider, following up an interesting press release by contacting the business for further details about their news or visiting their site (if it’s web news) to see it first hand. That’s one of the things that separates real journalists from bloggers.

It’s always great to see someone introduce a new resource here. Thanks for relevant rhetoric. That’s one I hadn’t heard of before.

I get a LOT of useful tips and insights from http://www.copyblogger.com/blog/ and http://www.problogger.net/

Oh that list is too old for you and now most of them does not work properly, so it should be updated but I think there is no bright future in content writing.

so every person in the world that has a web blog or web site should, what, just give up because creating content has no bright future?

i don’t think so

I think that choosing the right content makes the difference between success and failure on the internet. Thanks for sharing those links, writing powerful articles or web content is not easy (especially if you are not a writer ) and having some extra resources that help you on that is always appreciated.

I have to add two good resources:
Social Examiner - http://www.socialmediaexaminer.com/
Hubspot http://blog.hubspot.com/

Both are excellent!!

Me neither!! I believe in creating world class content!! But I know that is not that easy to get visitors and traffic!!

I am from India, and I am planing to make a career shift and get into writing, I am interested in Article writing, Content writing.

But as I do not have any writing experience I am finding it difficult to get a full time job.

I would like to know are there any resources on the web, where we can write, practice and acquire knowledge on various topics associated with writing, like English, writing, SEO and such other necessary disciplines of knowledge

I would really appreciate discussion on this topic

thanks in advance.

Hello Shyflower…Such a fantastic thread.
I use Copyscape and Citation Syles very often and I found these two crucial for writing a good content. Sometimes, even the things written by me show some percentage of citation and that is where this tool help me to make my content citation free. The other tools also seems to be highly beneficial.

I do agree with you, whatever the links you have provided are the best links, but all the links are not working properly and not related to online seo web content writing links. Looking forward for SEO web content writing links. Please do the needful.

you will not find them in this thread

If you want to discuss SEO, use the Internet marketing forum. This forum is for those who are interested in learning to write well for website visitors, not for search engines. You might also want to take the time to read forum announcements and stickies so you know what is acceptable in each forum and what is not.

thanks for the information. Its really very valuable for me. Its very important to have fresh and original content on whatever topic you are writing whether its a blog, article , press release etc.
