Lately I have switched to wordpress website creation from static noticed it’s a lot of work/risk when it’s time to update to new version of wordpress (every month) if the theme is not compatible you have to update the theme also unless you have done changes then keep track not to overwrite,…
do you find yourself in the same situation?how you handle clients website updates with wordpress?
Upgrades shouldn’t affect the theme. I have the theme in a folder I create, or if you’re using a custom one it should be in its own folder. So the new WordPress version should not contain that theme folder, and thus there’s no danger of overwriting.
Have you actually had a problem, or is this a theoretical concern?
Generally updates have no effect on theme compatibility. You might find a plug in that has not been updated to meet new requirements but they generally get updated by the author quickly.
