Odd issue with the COMMUNITY forum

Hello, all,

I’m experiencing a weird glitch with the COMMUNITY forum, here. If I try to bookmark this forum and click the bookmark, or hit refresh, the browser starts to load the page, then my browser’s URL field changes from “https://www.sitepoint.com/community/c/community” to “https://www.sitepoint.com/community/c” and I get a message that the forum is either missing or private.

It does not do this in any of the other areas I’ve been in, just COMMUNITY.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a ‘fix’ for it?

I think what you are referring to as the “community forum” I would call the “community category”.

I have what I call the forum (in the singular) bookmarked in several browsers as https://www.sitepoint.com/community/ and it has worked without any problems.

But there is something foobar happening. If I try to open https://www.sitepoint.com/community/c/community in a new tab I get the “oops” page even though when I open it in the same tab it works as expected.

My guess is routing is confused about whether the “community” is the sub or the category. Unfortunately I don’t know what the fix might be. (maybe a slug to differentiate it from the sub?)

Indeed, I should have referred to it as a category. Was hyper-focused on my message. :sunglasses:

And, for me, COMMUNITY is the only category (that I’ve visited) where this is happening. It doesn’t do it in JAVASCRIPT or GENERAL WEB DEV.
