Number in domain name

However, sometimes the domain name you want is taken, therefore you get forced to get a domain name with number… And sometimes it looks even better.

I do not like sites that names contain the numbers … just can not remember them

Replacing numbers for text/words within a domain name is a big NO NO - on a personal level I find them very annoying, not easy to remember and as stated above are not very SEO friendly! Keep it simple, catchy and unique

I agree with you and not agree with you. SEO and domain names do not influence on each other. I have seen a lot of people believe in it but I still do not understand why???

Including a number within your domain name can cause problems. When you tell someone your web address, you will continually have to tell them it’s a number and not the word. For example, if you selected a domain name like number1host.com, if you were to tell someone your web address, they may try to type it as ‘numberonehost.com’ instead of ‘number1host.com.’ This type of domain name can cause confusion.

Lol nice example! I agreee with you
I got a site named " hostnumberone.com " because like I said I don’t like numbers in domain name.

And there are no numbers in your domain name indeed

I agree with you and not agree with you. SEO and domain names do not influence on each other.

Well I was under the assumption that Google does take your domain name into account (like here they would see the SitePoint bit of SitePoint.com)… the TLD is what’s not accounted for unless it’s for regional indexing. Therefore if you called SitePoint SiteP0int it may well have an implication for the indexing and searchability of that information - After all, most people don’t Google using L33tspeak do they, pretty much a bad findability idea.

Well Numbers can only be used if they are very necessary…Most of the domainers don’t like numbers in their domain…
