Made a couple of posts today that confirm that I still have this problem—I thought it would go away by itself after a while but I’m going to ask and see if there’s an issue somewhere.
I’ve uploaded a new profile picture (see Twitter for new image—one that actually shows my face, as part of the great new complete-personal-transparency-and-same-photo-everywhere branding I came up with) and the new picture shows up when I go to “My SitePoint”, “Edit Profile Picture”, “Your Current Profile Picture”. Problem is that the old one still shows up in both new and old posts.
Here, to simplify things:
What I’ve done: Gone to “My SitePoint”, “Edit Profile Picture”, and uploaded a new image from my computer. I’ve also tried first deleting the current image, made sure it’s not showing up under “Your Current Profile Picture”, and then uploaded the new one.
What happens: The old profile picture still shows up in new and old posts, but the new picture shows up at “My SitePoint”, “Edit Profile Picture”, “Your Current Profile Picture”.
What I expected to happen: I expected the new picture to show up in new posts. If the old ones changed, that would be a bonus.
Should I try uploading it to my site and enter the URL instead of uploading?
I’m patient and I know that changes are being made, changes that have caused other image related problems.
I haven’t been able to change profile picture for 1-2 months though, at least. But since you’re saying that they’re on it and that you suspect that the changes are causing the issues, I’ll just continue waiting for it to start magically working instead of submitting things like a concrete report for it.
You’re welcome by the way (if I was the kind of person that created websites once in a while, I suppose I’d be grateful if people reported issues regarding them).
