I’m currently looking at buying my first existing website for their domain name in order to bring more traffic to my site. The domain name I wish to buy reflex a bit my main domain activities and want to know what to look/focus on:
So, what is important to check?
Also, is there some way to redirect those page to my main site in order to still use all those indexed page?

I would have to say backlinks. Also ask for traffic stats, make sure traffic is organic.
As soon as you start redirecting you will start losing the value that the current pages have unless the pages you redirect to have equivalent content.
Definitely check the backlinks, and if the owner has Google Analytics installed, get access to it so you can verify the traffic.
As the content will be yours, you could just copy the content on the redirected domain and put it on your existing domain and redirect the old to the new. That way, there’ll be no disruption to visitors to those pages.
