Mystery character appearing at top of website

Hi guys,

I’m developing a site for a client using Wordpress and in IE6 and IE7 there is a strange ‘i’ right at the very top of the page. It’s as if there is a character that has accidentally been dropped into the code, but I have checked that and can’t for the life of me see any erroneous characters.

You can see the page here:
Car | RD Avery

I am using a modified version of the Roots HTML5 theme for Wordpress, so I’m wondering whether it may be something to do with the new HTML5 doctype?

Any light anyone could shed on the matter would be really appreciated as I’m scratching my head at the moment.

I noticed this in the source:

<!--[if lt IE 8]>i<link rel="stylesheet" href="/~rdaveryc/css/blueprint/ie.css"><![endif]-->

Remove that i and you should be fine.

Sorry, I just noticed my reply could be a bit hard to read.

Right between <!–[if lt IE 8]> and <link rel=“stylesheet” href=“/~rdaveryc/css/blueprint/ie.css”><![endif]–> there is a lil’ orhpan i just laying there, messing with your head.

<!–[if lt IE 8]>i<link rel=“stylesheet” href=“/~rdaveryc/css/blueprint/ie.css”><![endif]–>

Awesome! Thanks for your help.

Reason I didn’t notice it was because it was getting pulled in via some PHP.
