Today on my server the mysql database part of the server reset due to a heavy load. At least that is the explanation i was given when my wordpress installation could not reach its database. Anyone ever experienced that before?
Actually, i was starting to download a backup of the mysql database which is rather large in a compressed format… They said that gave the server a load along with a lot of visitors hitting it at the same time. I never heard of the mysql part of a server resetting.
Anyone? I have a dedicated server hosted by a company.
