I have multiple domains, as do a lot of people I assume. For example, I have uglyfashionmedia.com and uglyfashionmedia.co.uk and also uglyfashion.com and .co.uk
From an SEO point of view am I wasting the domain names by simply aiming them all at my favourite domain (uglyfashionmedia.co.uk). Should I use the other domain names in a better way?
If I have a domain name which is more keyword hungry, but is long winded, such as the-best-darned-websites-in-the-whole-world-and-they-make-girls-like-you.co.uk
but I also have website.co.uk
I would normally redirect to website.co.uk, because it’s easier to remember, and it’s certainly prettier to look at. But would I be better advised to redirect the other way? I could still advertise the website via traditional marketing (posters for example), with the shorter domain name, but then when it redirects it looks untrustworthy. Which I would see as a key issue.
Your opinions please (thanks in advance).
