MS Access is case sensitive?

I have a page with a search box that plugs a value into a WHERE clause. In this case, it’s to search on names. If I type “John” I get the expected number of results, but typing “john” yields zero results.

Is Access typically case sensitive, and is there something I can do to make it ignore case?

I would do the following:
SELECT * FROM TABLE_NAME WHERE LCASE(field1) = LCASE(input)

I will do exactly that first thing tomorrow morning when I get to work. Thanks!

(Everything except for the SELECT * of course)

no problem. Glad I could help.

I get an error when I try this:

Query Of Queries syntax error.
Encountered “( fullname ) LIKE” at line 0, column 0. Incorrect conditional expression, Expected one of [like|null|between|in|comparison] condition, Unrecognized comparison operator,

Aha!

SELECT fullname FROM table WHERE [B]lower/B LIKE %lcase(input)%
