Mobile Web Page Detection?

(Which I find a bit odd, I’m on the beta channel which is up to version 16.0.912.63 - so I wonder if he is using Chrome’s new built in user agent switcher and just providing some extra bells and whistles around it.)

I know I can’t get it to work  What about an emulator that runs in a browser window showing a quasi-iphone, android phone etc ? Instead of what you would use your finger to navigate you use your mouse ?

Ralph mentioned Mobilizr, I’ve used that before for testing, will certainly do the job.

Thanks

Can you not scroll horizontally in Mobilizer ? I’m trying everything, hoping to stumble across it.

Not as far as I know. Simulators aren’t the be-all, end-all. They just give you an idea of how a site renders. To be honest, if you have to scroll a site sideways on a mobile device, you’ve done something wrong.

I’ve had success with ye good ole arrow keys. It’s a shame it doesn’t allow you to drag the page around :frowning:

Ah, scroll key, that works  Horizontally scrolling is not ideal on a mobile phone hence mobile site design is key despite that it works.

Egad, they work! I was sure I’d tried that before and had no luck. Good to know.

Sometimes you just have to smoosh your head on the keyboard to find out things like this

Ah, it that why my 4-year-old nephew knows more about computers than I do.
