This coming in the wake of Microsoft Announcing Windows7 Boosting Sales:

REDMOND, WASH.—Microsoft Corp. said Thursday that its net income in the most recent quarter rose 35 per cent, helped by strong sales of Windows 7.

Microsoft is the latest company to benefit from what seems to be a rebound in business spending on technology after the economic downturn.

It makes most of its money selling the Windows computer operating system, Office programs and other business software. The company said Windows 7, its newest version, now runs on 10 per cent of PCs.

I really despise to read articles such as this. It makes me sick to think that this is what our so called big “American” companies must do to make there greedy little pockets heavier.

This wouldnt have made the papers if it wasnt some sort of link to Microsoft. You have to read the article to also notice that:

Microsoft is not the only company to outsource manufacturing to KYE, but it accounts for about 30 per cent of the factory’s work, the NLC said. Companies such as Hewlett-Packard, Samsung, Foxconn, Acer, Logitech and Asus also use KYE Systems.

Microsoft, which exports much of the hardware made at the factory to America, Europe and Japan, said that it is taking the claims seriously and has begun an investigation.

So not just microsoft but hey, it wouldnt have been so ‘headline grabbing’ had it read:

“Foxconn’s Chinese workforce too tired to sleep”
