“I’ve been doing SEO for this site for a year but still no good ranking. The client keeps changing focus—first ‘Bangalore’, then ‘Electronic City’, now back to ‘Bangalore’. We’ve changed meta tags many times and rankings have dropped. I’m really stuck. Should I change it again or is there a better way to fix the SEO?”
Step 1: Dont program your bot to post things in quotes.
Step 2: Figure out who’s in control of the SEO.
Step 3: If doing X brought things down, why keep doing X.
Ask/Convince your client to create child pages for multiple cities.
/bangalore
/electronic-city
(part of Bangalore is nicknamed “Electronic City”. It’s all the same thing.)
Ohh, then there should not be any problem,
Don’t focus on only the Meta title & Description, use the page content body.
Google will automatically consider both the same location.
