Mediatemple's gs plan as reseller plan?

Hi all!

I’m bit confused about mediatemple’s gs plan. There, I couldnt find answers for my questions. So, could anybody clear these:

? Do you use it? if so, may I see your website hosted on it?

? Can I use it as a reseller plan? Do I need to make any changes on it?

? Is it has a private nameserver?

? It’s bandwidth is shared or premium?

? Any resource/CPU % usage limitations?

Yes I use mediaTemple, my website is under heavy remodelling but it’s currently at http://www.hitechy.com/ Personally I don’t recommend mediaTemple at the moment because their grid service has been suffering a lot of issues. Last year I had some severe downtime and a security breach on their end. I thought it was worth mentioning this before I went further as I can’t give it much in the way of a positive review.

Yes you can, you can share or resell your (gs) space, and they have in the control panel a method to setup individual user accounts (restricted).

Yes, their nsX.mediatemple.net (if I remember correctly - the X being the number like 1 or 2).

I’m not sure what you mean by this, however their bandwidth is owned by them (as a business - their not resellers).

There’s the usual bandwidth and disk space limits, you have GPU limits (essentially measured in traffic spikes and heavy hits). :slight_smile:

If you are going to use web hosting for another propose as that was designed for you’d better ask web hosting provider about that.

I want a VPS plan which 1-2 TB bandwidth. Which company/service is best at your opinion? My monthly budget is under/about $50.

I use MediaTemple’s VPS, the (dv) [URL=“http://mediatemple.net/webhosting/dv/”]Dedicated-Virtual service, for $50/month and I love it. They do offer 1 TB bandwidth and I dearly recommend them, as I always do, and I think they would definitely satisfy your VPS/reseller needs.

I’ve been happy with them for four years—before going over to (dv) I was using their (gs). Still do, for some of my less resource intensive sites.
