Me@myname.com or myname@myname.com?

If you have a domain with your name in it, what would your primary email address be? me@myname.com or myname@myname.com

For a less generic example, something like force@forceflow.com vs me@forceflow.com

I’ve thought that both ways look a bit odd.

What would be your reasoning for choosing one format over the other? Or would you go with something else entirely? Maybe owner@myname.com?

Thoughts?

I use your first example, since I always felt generic names like “info”, “contact” or “admin” just sound wrong when I’m just a one-man-show, not a big corporation. On a side note, I also own my lastname.com, which I use like erik@lastname.com.

The erik@lastname.com email has on one occasion resulted in a frustrating incident where I had to argue with a government employee for 10 minutes after I used it on a form, because she just didn’t believe it was my real email. At first she equated it with giving a fake address like “123 Erik Street, Eriksville”. She then argued that something as high tech as owning my own name as an email isn’t something that any private citizen can do “just like that”.

Well I think it depends on what your using it for. Say a generic master e-mail I would go with admin@yourname.com but if its more personal I see people using firstname@yourname.com and thats looks just fine to me.

I’d choose “me@myname.com”, it’s more cool, more glamour lol

I use “me@firstnamelastname.com”.

It would be"lena@lename.com" for me

me@myname.com

I choose this. That will easy for remember of follower.

overlord@

Seriously I typically will do FirstName@ or admin/webmaster. Depending on the nature of the site, office@, support@ … which all route to FirstName@ anyway …

Made me smile
