So how was it done?

So you have left the header and footer blank on just the home page, but your other pages have both a header and footer. Is that right? And you want to know if this is all right for SEO?
Search engines look mostly at the main content of your page, so having a blank header and footer on the home page should not matter (although it does seem a strange design choice). But you do need to have properly-used heading tags <h1> - <h6>.

Just to clarify, are you asking how to use Bootstrap to change the design of just your home page?
