Lots of content and lots of links still considered a "link farm"?

Obviously it’d better to have multiple pages with less outgoing links. But what if I have a site that generates a massive amount of content on the front page and people are also posting many links, would these links still not hold much value to due to the sheer amount of links or would the massive amount of content offset this?

And when I mention links, it’s other people posting links to attempt to get link juice and backlinks to their site.

The amount of content on the page has nothing to do with the amount of link juice/page rank passed out on the outbound links. It’s a function of the current page’s PR and the number of outbound links on that page. The more outbound links on a page, the less juice that is passed out on each of those links. You do the math.
