Likes on Facebook page not showing on my blog's Likes count

Hi. I run a entertainment blog that usually gets anywhere between 10 to 200 likes depending on the article. It used to be that any Likes that I got on my facebook page would be instantly reflected on the counter of my Likes button on my site, but ever since I changed the Wordpress Plugin for the facebook likes button the Likes on the blog and on the Page are not merging on my blog.

I set up the Open Graph protocol but that hasn’t resolved the problem and I’m hoping someone here can help me. Anyone know how to properly connect a self-hosted Wordpress Blog to a facebook page? Thank you.

Are you associating the two together by using Facebook’s OG Meta Data? The app id field will allow you to best cluster activities from pages to webpages to actual facebook applications.

If you have no idea what I’m talking about, just go see this page and you’ll understand: http://developers.facebook.com/docs/opengraph/

It sounds like the new plugin you installed isn’t functioning correctly…

Hi, thanks for the reply. I’m using ‘WP Facebook Open Graph protocol’ plugin to set up the OG Meta Data. I only recently installed it but that hasn’t done the trick either. When I first installed it and checked on the facebook [URL=“http://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug”]debugger it had all the correct meta information, but for some reason now it says, "Error Parsing URL: Error parsing input URL, no data was scraped.
". Btw, my site url is kpopfever.com if that would help. This is my facebook page, http://www.facebook.com/pages/Kpop-Fever/206648542720034.

I’ve read the page you suggested a several times even before you suggested it, but I don’t understand how I can add meta data so it would apply to all the pages I publish. If you would be kind enough to explain this for me I’d really appreciate it. Thanks for your time.

It looks like the debugger is broken right now. I’d suggest you wait for it to get back online as you do have the tags in your source but want to be sure Facebook is seeing them properly.

Is your page also associated with the same application and user account?

Thanks again Ted S.

I see this application has permission to access my page, http://www.facebook.com/apps/application.php?id=187943764598095. I have no idea when I created it though, maybe in the initial setup I need to create an app in order to create a page I don’t remember. It does lead me to my site when I click on the ‘go to app’ button, so I’m guessing it was probably created during the initial setup process. As far as the debugger is concerned it returned a result,

How do I check to see if the page is associated with the user account?
