Hi All, I’m looking for a good learning management system for WordPress. We are currently using one for a client that we customized to keep costs low: http://themeforest.net/item/wplms-learning-management-system/6780226. It’s been okay but not the best. I have another potential client who is looking for something similar and I thought I’d check with other developers before I go with the same system. Cost is somewhat of an issue but not deciding factor. I’m not opposed to suggestions outside WP as I know WP is not the best for complicated systems and moving parts like these kind of sites are. It’s for a sole proprietor with less than 10 courses. Thanks in advance!
I would suggest Woocommerce (free) which will handle your payments, discounts, processing, etc.
And then Sensei (paid) which handles courses, lessons, dripping content, etc. You install it as a plugin for Woocommerce. It integrates seemlesly.
I don’t know if that’s wise
Your connection is not private
Attackers might be trying to steal your information from sensei.uncannycloud.com (for example, passwords, messages, or credit cards). NET::ERR_CERT_DATE_INVALID
If the site can’t be trusted, can the software?
How is this not wise? It’s a solution for Wordpress and it works.
Any suggestion from you, Mittoneague?
It could be safe enough I guess.
But if it were me, rather than a paid plugin for a plugin for WordPress I’d be more likely to use a free plugin for WordPress (one less “link in the chain” to break). eg. one of these 68.
That’s actually a great suggestion!
Most of those plugins are interesting because they are considered “free-limited”. They provide the core LMS system, but often requires a purchase or upgrade to access certain settings (or in extreme cases, limits how many courses you can put in). So keep that in mind!
