HP G60-459DX Laptop
Windows 7 64-Bit
My laptop is restarting randomly. I have un-checked “Automatically restart” from System Failure in the Control Panel. It still restarts and only flashes the error message for a split second. It seems to be happening randomly and does not seem to depend on CPU load. CPU temp is aroun 58C.
Last time it actually let me read the BSOD. I am attaching it below.
I don’t think it is a software problem but I could be wrong. I updated my BIOS, and ran the memory and hard disk tests located in the BIOS.
The Event Log for a recent restart can be downloaded here:

Did you have any software updates (windows or any other) around the time that it started to BSOD?
Nothing that sticks out in my head.
Could trying to reformat help? Is this likely hardware or software related?
Hey Espett, I’ve done a bit of researching and it seems that ZoneAlarm “may” be a cause of the restarting issue. If I were you I’d uninstall this even as a process of elimination as this suggestion seems to have worked for others before…worth a shot! Usually (from my own experiences) constant reboots are memory related, overheating or overclocking! - the solution is nearly always something simple so I suggest the above before you go the formatting route!
Best of luck and keep us posted ok!
Something seems to have fixed it. Thanks for all of the help!
