jQuery code will work in a php file

I am not sure if this jQuery code will work in a php file:

         $("Button1").click(function () {
                $("Text2").val("");
                $("Text3").val("0");
                $("Text5").val("1");
                $("Label4").text("");
                $("Button5").trigger('click');
            });

As long as the form exists upon page load, it should work. If the form is being generated by jQuery or JavaScript, I think you’ll have to reinitialize before running it.

jQuery runs in the browser and PHP is interpreted on the server.

Can you have PHP output jQuery code, sure.

But if you’re asking if PHP will run jQuery code, then no.

Recently a good article appeared on Web Technologies Hanging Out Together that takes you through how HTML, CSS, JavaScript and PHP all interact with each other.

That article can help you to gain a good overview of how they interact.
