JavaScript and CSS Conditional Statements

Hey,

I have a question about the header.php file when using a wordpress theme when creating blogs.

I am trying to do this:-

Code:

<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">
<head>
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1" />
<title><?php bloginfo('name'); ?> <?php if ( is_single() ) { ?> &raquo; Blog Archive <?php } ?> <?php wp_title(); ?></title>

<!--[if !IE]><!-->
<style type="text/css">@import 'firefox.css';</style>
<!--<![endif]-->

<link rel="stylesheet" href="<?php bloginfo('stylesheet_url'); ?>" type="text/css" />

<script type="text/javascript" src="chromejs/chrome.js">

</script>

</head>
<body>

But the highlighted lines do not seem to be working. Firstly i am saying that if the browser is not IE then revert to a different stylesheet called firefox.css.

Then below i am using javascript to implement a chrome menu. But this does not seem to work either, i have tested it using a HTML page so why does this not work…?

Please help

Regards

It’s a bit hard to understand what you are saying here. Which style sheet is operating at the moment? Remember that the style sheet you put last will prevail. I don’t understand what you are saying about chrome.
