I have freelanced to people from America, Indonesia, Malaysia and India. The only noticably bad freelancer was from India. It’s not that there is a language barrier, it’s just that he used copy work. They do however work quick for what it’s worth.
There is no point in me working all day for no incentive. So it’s about carefully balancing the two. I did use to charge crazy prices however, I now charge much less. I still work just as hard, that being said, I found the some clients don’t appreciate you as much.
There has to be incentive for working, otherwise we might as well all get a job and McDonnalds and call it a day.

The market is so saturated with developers nowadays. At one point i thought about going self employed as a designer but now, i think it’s that saturated it’s so hard to get your name out there. Best bet is to get a high paid job with a company who designs sites instead.
Absolutely, i did notice that many of those fresh out of school often get their hopes up to high by thinking they should be making $80k when starting out…but the reality is when first starting out in the field your pay will be closer to 30K until you prove you can do the work… and then there are those that can do the work but are not very good on working in a team atmosphere…the bottom line is this if you work for a small company your pay will be about 30k, large company about 45k…
