Is there a Vamp guide on sitepoint?

Does anyone know of a decent Vista, Apache, Mysql and PhP guide?

I had one installed but caught a virus/trojan the other day and had to restore back to factory.

I tried installing yesterday and the Apache / PhP worked fine, but when I tried to work with the MySQL, the screen showed a 500 error.

Thanks in advance.

Usually that’s called a WAMP (Windows, Apache, MySQL, PHP)

What are your plans for this?

If you’re just looking to set up a testing environment, I’d recommend XAMPP.

I apologize if I don’t have the trust other people do.

I have in the past just downloaded all the ingredients and put them one at a time on my computer. I just use it to do small programming things.

Don’t want to get a giant executable in which ANYTHING can be installed, without my knowledge, though it probably does the way I have did it in the past. Who knows.

I normally put Apache on first, but everytime I turn around there are different patches. I then put PhP followed by MySQL. Not sure why it failed last time.

It said with Aparche 2.2 to use PhP 5.2 and not 5.3. Just too many variations now.
