Is it better to use a color by its word or hex?

Just wondering if it’s better to use a hex decimal value or word when defining a colour, e.g #000000 or “black”

personally, I believe that it is preferable to use hex and or rgba(). :winky:

I’d say there’s not a ‘better’ per-se, as they both do the same thing. For some colors (like black, white, red, green, and blue), i’d argue there’s not even a real readability difference, as “000000” is readily accessible. Things like “MediumTurqoise” (yes, that’s a color name in the X11 system) however…
