My question is for those who are working search engine optimization for their website. If we talking about Off-Page activities in SEO then why we ignore the “Directory Submission” ?
I have seen lots of website who get the till good traffic from directory sites submitted by 4 to 5 years ago. But now we didn’t doing directory submission. Why?
Do you think your potential customers are likely to use directories to find a business? If so, then it would be worth being listed in reputable directories. If you think they are more likely to simply search online, then being listed in directories is probably a waste of time.
You need to ensure you only use reputable directory sites, as low-quality directories are among the sites Google lists as in its guidelines on link schemes:

No directory submission is not banned. But avoid using low authority sites. Just use the top sites to submit your site.
I have done “Directory Submission” for my site and they are still effective. It depends which site you are using.
