Interactive Globe for Traveller website?

Hey there,

currently I am using a wordpress blog to share my pictures (private homepage). Yesterday I talked to a friend and he asked if it’s possible to create an interactive 3D globe with high details and the possibility to add some markers. Here is the way I do it right now –> Link. It’s not that bad but yeah, a 3D globe would be a blast. I already tried to find something but without any success. Would be nice if the globe is zoomable or at least big enough you can see the big cities.

An alternative could be: an endless worldmap (flat) with high resolution

It does not has to be for free! Willed to pay for something I like :slight_smile:

I was getting feed up with the time it took worldoffmerix to load and when it did load it froze my browser IE11

I have just implimented something using googlemaps on my site but it is very basic

Yeah, right now I am using the Geochart API from Google but it looks a bit old school. I wrote a mail to Merix Studios and waiting for an answer if it would be possible to use their layout … we will see

Well I recieved the quote today and it would be at least 560$ for an own design. It sound’s pretty fair to me but due the fact it’s only a private page it’s way too much. Don’t want to spend more than 300$ for a basic layout (I can tweak it to a certain level by myself)

So I am still looking for something Special :confused:
