Is there a way to install plugins by code. It would be great to install 10 plugins without activating it one by one.

Install plugins by code? I’m not sure, if the following would help you.
Create a “wp-plugins” folder in wp-content directory and put those plugins over there. You are done. There are certain disadvantages associated with this trick too. For example, you won’t get the notification when there is a upgrade available for those plugins.
