Our client would like to showcase his work on his new homepage, so I’m in search of some Flash software that will allow me to display multiple screenshots of photos in his header. I found one place that has what I’m looking for, but it’s $199! Does anyone know of a cheaper option? http://www.flashloaded.com/flashcomponents/3dwall/
Ok, I cannot say for certain if I’ve seen that done in any of the JS libraries or not.
I’m going to suggest you ask a moderator to move this thread over to the Flash forum. I’m sure there’s something free out there, but those who deal more with Flash are most likely to know than people in general web design area I think.
You could also make a separate post in the Javascript forum asking if such a thing exists in one of the popular JS libraries.
Thanks for the reply Stomme poes, but the concave curvature is the effect we’re going for.
Is this just a sort of fade-in fade-out of screenshots? You can do this in Javascript if you want. (I’m not sure about the tilting and curvature stuff though)
Does it have to be in Flash? There are possibly more devices out there who don’t support Adobe’s proprietary software than devices who don’t support Javascript (of course, a link to somewhere where the scriptless can see each screenshot as well makes sense, as a backup). Think of iWhatevers.
Don’t think I’ve seen a free one, but there are almost certainly cheaper alternatives available on activeden. It wouldn’t be too difficult to recreate this sort of thing using the flash 3d classes if necessary.
