In other words have in same site two 404 pages...?

exist any way 404 page opens in /root/ files in page1.html but in /subfolder/ in page2.html…? In other words have in same site two 404 pages…?

Sorry - I don’t follow what you’re asking.

By its very nature, a 404 page opens when the entered URL does not exist, so you can’t know which URLs will be used to trigger it.

If you mean that you have removed certain pages, and want visitors to those old URLs to be redirected to one of two general pages, then set up a 301 redirect to do that.

I purposefully created 404 … but normal pages eg for search engine url:
car-model-make-caridxxxx.php go to detail.php?carId=xxxx but there are two versions of site old & new both using this … redirecting to different 404 pages…

you understand me…?

Are you saying that the old site uses the old 404 page and the new site uses the new 404 page?

yes that,…note: not,… not found page alert but, a purposefully for search engines url from, not found url to individual page based on: not found url’s last 6 digits of carID…

is any other way do this PHP…?

I’m afraid it’s still as clear as mud exactly what you are wanting to do.

I really don’t know if this is anywhere close to what you are attempting but you can create a PHP 404 page which tests the referral page and redirects to a different (real) page for different referral pages. HOWEVER, the 404 error code has already been recorded so it’s not going to fool the search engines.

problem solved used differ code creating each 404 page… also used absolute urls in 404 page
