Images interfering with <li>'s

When placing an image before a paragraph, and the jpeg exceeds the total paragraph height, right down into indivudual <li>'s that follow the paragraph…

I’ve discovered that the <li>'s cut short of an imaginary space extending below the image, on the right. Tried clear:left; overflow: auto; as well as clear right (within each <li> and within a surrounding <ul> )

.Rt {
float: right;
margin: 3px 0px 5px 15px;
}

<img src=".jpg" alt=""  border="0" width="200 height="190" class="Rt">

How can the space to the right be cleared so the <li>'s continue all the way?

Can you supply more markup or link to an example? I’m struggling to picture what you mean by “imaginary space”. From your description, it sounds like the LIs are running into the part of the image that extends beneath the paragraph, which is expected behavior.

Its pretty much right there.

That’s what they are doing, except the LI’s are being stopped far below the actual image itelf, at the same width…

If you don’t post the rest of your markup apart from the single <img /> or a link to the web page, I’m not sure how you expect anyone to tell you what you have done wrong.

webdev1958,

Thanks for the response.

I’m now scaling the images which is lifting the problem.

If there was/is a ‘thread solved’ I would mark it. - Don’t see it.

For future reference though, it is way more helpful to either provide a link, or the full code. Sometimes problems you associate with the code clipping can be caused by problems outside of the clipping. It’s just easier to help that way.

While I can appreciate that, it can’t always be done.
