Image reveal on hover works outside the intended div

I have something like this

working on one of my pages. My problem is that the reveal effect that follows the mouse continues to do so when it is outside of the intended div.
how can just restrain it.
My code is barely different. rather then the body i have a div.

You have it set right now to activate the JS anywhere in the document. You haven’t binded it to #outerring.
