…Or IWP as its current incarnation is called, what app would you migrate to? I am shopping around for a stable, SE friendly, properly supported CMS that’s not stuck in developmental hell like IWP.

Perhaps the finest thing it does that is critical to my search is its ability to have User Accounts created and assign a global photo and profile to each. Contributors can login to submit articles (some multi-paged).

Sure, here are a few: EveryQuery Articles and [url=http://familiardirectory.com/]Familiar Directory and [url=http://www.findyourarticle.com/]Find Your Article. They all have thousands of articles. I don’t know if that is what you meant, but hopefully it gives you some idea of what it might look like.

I am aware of your application and my understanding is that it is a directory script. Of course if it does more, I stand corrected. Can you provide me with 2 active clients currently running it as a CMS, with 1000s of articles in the DB? Thank you.

phpLD has the ability to upload a user image in the user profile, and articles are also a part of it. A few lines of smarty code, which we could help in this area, would get the profile info inserted on the article page. Our script starts at $35. It sounds like a pretty close match, but no problem if not.
