I would like to make a game using javascript

Hi im incredibly new to the coding scene I just started learning this year.I need help making a game using java. Some requirements are

  • Needs to be able to run in a browser
  • Able to make changes to code
  • open world (does not need to be completely open)
  • someone who will be willing to work long term (hopefully)
  • would be willing to help teach me
  • Graphics should be 1990-2003 type graphics.
  • Does not mind the game having a little bit of paid content (maybe)
    For the most part I know html a small bit of java and thats it. Before this year I had been using scratch.mit.edu to make small games. I know this is alot to ask but please I want to be a game designer for a living. This would really help.

Java or javascript?

Javascript. Is there a difference between the two?

Oh yes! You can find plenty of pages on the web describing the differences if you want.

Oh cool

What help do you need? Have you started designing the game yet, or coding it? How far along are you?

I have tried to code it but I have an idea in mind but I feel so lost yaknow. also you should probably know what im using and that would be visual studio code. im almost positive I have node installed. And thats it

Well, do you mean Java or JavaScript? The advice will be very different.

I use javascript

<html lang=“en”>

<meta charset=“UTF-8”>

<meta name=“viewport” content=“width=device-width, initial-scale=1.0”>

<meta http-equiv=“X-UA-Compatible” content=“ie=edge”>
