How to start bitcoin mining on android devices?

hola, I have two spare android devices and been thinking of starting bitcoin mining in them. Will it be beneficial or will it be just wastage of time? If I gain from those two devices then I will go for another 10 spare device. Please help.

It’s not something I know a great deal about, but I thought mining bitcoins required quite high spec hardware with more power than a mobile device or an average PC for that matter.

I think it would take years to mine a Bitcoin on two spare android devices. There is nothing to stop you trying; so let us know how you get on.

Are you talking about a phone or a server with android os? People have farms of machines that are nearly impossible to compete with unless you have matched processing power.

android phone

i saw old samsung android phones are being used to mine bitcoin…so I thought of using my spare ones

This is a quote from a Bitcoin forum from 2014 discussing using a PC to mine:

At current difficulty, if you mine in a pool, you will probably mine about 0.00001406 BTC per week. That means, if difficulty doesn’t increase at all, it will take about 71123 weeks (about 1367 years) to mine 1 BTC. Of course difficulty will almost certainly increase during that time. As such, it is quite possible that it will take more than 6000 years to mine 1 BTC.

But as I said before there is nothing stopping you trying.

Why not do some research online as well?

To put that in perspective, that works out as 16 US cents a week at current value, though not current difficulty, so could well be less.

Interesting. If my maths are close that means that if I use 25000 PCs I could mine around one and a half bitcoins per month.

Enough to make one wonder why anyone bothers working anymore.

We are waaay past that point when you could mine bitcoin with any machine that is available for a regular Joe.
