How do you know that? I bet a good number of the internal PHP devs use Macs to develop on.

And, that argument is totally beside the point to my point anyway. My point has nothing to do with where PHP is better to run, but rather has more to do with the better (and overall easier) way to develop PHP applications.

And I’ll continue with something more inline with your point. Over 2 thirds of all webservers in the world are running Linux. So, simply through the usage, the Linux version of PHP gets more attention and thus, should also be considered the more stable version.
