That’s a fairly old thread and there have been a lot of changes in the market since then.
Anyway, to answer the specific question here, there’s no one single best place (though Sitepoint would like you think there is one best place - Flippa! :))
The best place to sell your site is where you are going to get the best price. That varies based on site, industry, size of your business etc. etc. For some sites Flippa is the best place. For others, especially larger and well established businesses, you’d be better off using a good broker - Facebook isn’t likely to list at Flippa or businessesforsale.com. For adult sites you can’t use Flippa … and most brokers wouldn’t be interested either.
From speaking with thousands of sellers over the years I’ve come to believe that there’s one specific way that’s better than all others, but that’s a topic for another time and a long helpful article when I get a chance.
