Now the things have been changed since Panda/Penguin update by google.
I was wondering what are the new methods for promoting a new site now a days. It seems it can be quite hard getting a new site going whilst trying to avoid any sort of penalties from gaining to many links too fast.
what new methods would you use to get a new site noticed?
After the updates I believe Google will pay more attention to social signals such as Facebook, Google+, Twitter.
About gaining link too fast I don’t believe that statement because quality contents should get links fast if you know where to promote them, eg using social media so what’s important is always adding quality contents to your web properties and get social.
Social media marketing are the great source for popular the new website. Web 2.0 websites are also the good platform for enhance the online business. Youtube channel are really good for starting a new campaign. Quality work are important in the search engine optimization.
The best way to do it is by using your social media profiles more often and if you have good budget maybe start some ad campaign on these social media sites.
Now a days, social media has gained importance a lot in promotion of business. Use of social media sites like facebook, twitter, linkedin, myspace, pinterest etc has gained importance a lot and even Google is also giving important to these sites. so you can use the social media sites to promote your business or services. for promotion you can use the social media but when it comes to rank your site or keywords on the top of the search engines like Google, yahoo or bing, then you have to apply seo on page and off page techniques.
I’m not aware of any especially ‘new’ methods in Q2 2014. Web promotion has always involved a basket of different tactics but at the time of speaking Google has acted quite dramatically to remove some previous tactics. So people who were used to taking shortcuts are now a little bit stuffed.
The most successful strategy is still a proper welldone site (ie html5, rich data, loads fast) with substantial original content that its visitors give Google signals about by bookmarking, returning, translating and posting links. Then top that off with an intelligent website PR campaign (ie get some dofollow links from other great websites that are related), a bit of social campaigning and you’ll be well on the way. Just don’t be tempted by SEO shortcuts.
Well, time tested strategies work well for promoting a new site. Press releases are the best way to promote for SEO and to get quick, targeted leads. We use PR Web, PR Log, and PR Wire.
As far as new strategies, we have started using Pinterest and it works very well! We use a site named Canva.com to create images with text on them for businesses. Then post them on Pinterest using SEO keywords in their boards. You can edit the image to add a link back to your site. Each individual board you create gets ranked and sometimes the individual pins. The Pinterest profile also has a high ranking result.
There’s also video that you can do. Sites like Pinterest, Vine, and Youtube do well in ranking to promote a new site.
What I’ve been looking at and researching lately is webinars. I know a lot of service industries have used webinars lately to promote their sites and do very well getting leads and customers from them. You can use Instant Teleseminar or GotoWebinar to host one.
Promoting through affiliates is another way to market your site quickly and effectively. Their email lists are already warm so introducing you and your site would get you sign ups and possibly clients.
We’ve also had great results and businesses being built through AdWords. Time tested, I know, but it works!
Hope this gives you a head start to helping grow your new site. Good luck!
